This abandoned ranch home was in major need of some TLC.
We collaborated with our clients to come up with solutions to this diamond in the rough.
It's now fully renovated inside and out with high end finishes including: hand stained hard wood flooring, premium granite countertops, and shiplap accent walls in the master bathroom.
We also designed a coffee bar/nook in the kitchen to really give this "farmhouse" the feel of a real cafe on its 4+ acre lot.
This true 1940's beauty is nestled right in the heart of Midtown, walking distance to the Belt line access point at 10th St.
Originally this home was meant for a single family and over time.
After our client consulted with us, we created a concept that almost doubled the available space all within the footprint of the building.
We closed in the existing carport and built out the attic, turning this once single family residence into a multi-family quadraplex! Now that's how you maximize space.
This traditional 4-side brick ranch is a perfect example of utilizing the space you have to fit your needs.
By consolidating the two largest bedrooms on the west wing of the house, we were able to make a very nice Master suite and walk-in closet out of the existing space. We increased the size of the once Jack and Jill bath of the 3rd bedroom, and turned it into a Main level Ensuite for guests.
Not only that, but by knocking down a wall or two, we were also able to open up the Kitchen and dining room completely to create one large open space for entertaining complete with 14 foot Quartz top island and double-sided fireplace.
After all of this, we completely built out the basement with two bedrooms, a bath, and laundry room. Perfect space for the growing children.
A full remodel of this 3 bedroom 2 bathroom single story home yielded all types of beautiful possibilities for a family with growing children.
This home was expanded by adding a 500 square foot Master Suite addition. All new stainless steel appliances cabinets and white granite countertops transcended this home to be one of the favorites in its quaint neighborhood.

With that in mind we knew we had to come up with a design that would not only showcase and pay homage to his cuisine, but also put on display his careful attention to detail.
From the intricate play on lighting, to the cozy niches and private dining areas, to the USB charging ports at every booth, the outcome of our design solution, we believe, achieves that.
This bungalow remodel in the fast growing Grant Park area is a dream.
